The location could stay the same but the actual diameter of the new hole would depend on what your aftermarket antenna needs. That new diameter may not be the same size the factory antenna needed. Same with any mounting structures or dimensions at the base of the antenna that are needed to keep it at the proper angle since factory recommendations and plates might not work with your aftermarket antenna.

The other photos show the factory antenna and how it was braced at the bottom on Packard models to set and keep the angle.
