When the pin broke on my latch someone of this forum (forget who) sent me pix of how they fixed theirs, pix attached and it's a rather neat solution. I was also lucky there was nothing in the trunk in the way of extending a socket on a long length of socket extensions to remove the latch bar and get the trunk lid open.
