Anyway, contrary to what many say, I use pure synthetic oil whenever I change it. Generally I'll use a multi-viscosity because single viscosity is sometimes difficult to find for synthetic but I'm sure it's available in less rural areas than this. If the engine is fresh and tight, something like a 10-30 or 10-40 but for older engines maybe 20-40 or something like that. I know there will be lots of people who disagree but I've never had any problems when doing this.
