Thanks much for posting the pics. But in all of the factory A/C Lehigh compressors I've seen, I don't ever recall seeing one with unpainted heads.

And yes, familiar with the STB.

And yes again, the muffler coming off of the compressor and adjacent new 1956 format of hose and connection makes for a cleaner, neater access and format... and more clearance around the power steering pump.

Oh... and I see in the pics that somebody has converted over to electric wipers. I used to use Buick units myself in the 1970s. Even less noticeable.
