Howard,

As I understand you, I need a 1/4" hexagon with a hole in it that slips over the shaft. I have some 1/4 brass hexagon stock that I can put on my lathe and drill a hole in it deep enough do the job.

I'm not sure why, but having problems removing the knob. I can remove the knob from the antenna without any problem. I assume that it is the same method as the headlamp switch.
