For Ultramatic the front joint would be a ball and trunnion which would originally have used a heavy fibre grease. I don't know what the best modern replacement grease would be, many I know use a premium wheel bearing grease and seem to have no problems. Take good care of that joint, for the senior cars with Ultramatic replacements are close to extinct.
