As HH56 describes above, getting into the trunk via the backseat is easily accomplished if there are no obstructions blocking access to the trunk latch. I enclose this picture (the upper one) in hopes it make this more apparent for you; just above the ACKA in the license plate frame you can see the latch bar, it is retained by a bolt at each end. These are the bolts you will removing by linking together enough socket wrench extensions to reach them via the back seat.
