To clarify what RH said, IIRC:

To remove it you insert the key and turn the switch until you can see a brass wafer thru this small hole by the base of the switch. Then insert a small tool to depress the wafer then carefully pull out the lock core, keeping the key in it the whole time. Have a finger over where that wafer will come out in case it pops out of the core.

Then just align the core with the new cylinder and carefully depress the wafer and slide it in at the same rotational position you removed it on the other. You should be able to hear it click into place.

Obviously some WD40 sprayed into the core before starting this process would help.
