People do disc brake conversions from time to time. In normal circumstances, it's anything but necessary (TL + power brakes give excellent braking performance given the weight of the vehicle) though if you are hot rodding it or doing something like track driving, your circumstances may be different.

I would carefully consider the cost and especially complication of doing a disc brake conversion versus the need.

I assume something like this would work, at $1100: https://www.speedwaymotors.com/Wilwood-140-14400-D-Dynapro-Low-Profile-Parking-Brake-Kit-Black,384774.html

But a rebuild kit, assuming your drums are usable, is under $500:https://www.kanter.com/p-35858-1955-and-1956-packard-parts.html
