i have an early built 56 packard clipper deluxe with only 64555 original miles so its never been apart as far as i can see.i am in the process of puling the engine due to being locked up,so i noted the way the generator adjustment bracket is mounted,the adjustment slot mounts to what i would call the thermostat manifold.i hope this helps.
