I am convinced that the mechanical switch is the way to go. If the simple change of one type of brake fluid for another will render the switch inoperative, why set myself up for failure. My Packard has endured these 54 years, why not another?

One question, does the brake light switch kit come with all the necessary mounting hardware and instructions?

Well, one more...Do I leave the original switch in place when installing the new mechanical switch?
