there are 10 bolts on 55. no need for washer on that locking one. SM says 9 washers and lock washers. that self locking is the 10th. i used some locktite blue on mine when installed it, along with the two on the tailshaft.
i had originally put washers under those bolts....as you can tell by Ross telling me to take them off.
i also incourage you to go to my blog. Henry's 55 Constellation.....there is a very detailed rebuild of a 55 TU transmission on there with lots of help from the forum members to boot. so if you are rebuilding yourself....this will help alot with tons of pictures too.
