Under floor modern booster update.

My little project is almost done -- just a few details to finish off esthetically to make it look presentable. Am reasonably pleased with mechanical things.

One disappointment is a carpet issue. I knew the rod would have to move about 2 1/2 inches to the left and need repair of the old hole. Was concerned about that in an earlier post. PV8 was able to patch his so had hope I could too. Found my rubber grommet was hard as a rock and apparently was 15 years ago when this carpet was done. The upholsterer made a large hole just slightly less than diameter of grommet and glued it in. This makes repair with my limited skills next to impossible so patch is visible. New rubber and carpet are on the list.

Here are more or less final shots. Don't laugh at my fake steering column but contortionist I am not, so working with all that in place was not in the cards & out it came. The fake column is actually slightly bigger and ensures all will fit. The 7" dual booster is in, things are close at steering but do fit. 7" single fits nicely and is almost same except the end of master is angled slightly differently to clear steering coupling. The bulge in floor is approx 1/2 inch and almost exactly where the old brake hole is. With no padding there, floor is almost flat.

Don't have final pressure readings yet. My friend who will help with the bleed is on an out of town install. Pedal feels good, ratio is 3.7:1, pedal height is same as old BTV and don't expect it will work or feel much differently than those already in use.

As the air conditioning is the main reason I took the car apart in the first place, that project is next. Accordingly, it will be some time before any road tests are made. Granted, have not gone max out on this but the pile of early versions in first photo shows I wasn't goofing off all the time--just indecisive. Is there any interest in drawings and detailed info now?
