In the late 1950s there was a BMW Isetta in the neighborhood running up and down our street driven by some 16YO. That was a really cool car to our teenage minds. Not fast, but you could get in/out via the front.

Thanks for posting a European alternate to USA 1950s cars. I didn't get too many of those other than the BMW Isetta.
