ok. So it appears to be 1/2 inch Al. plate for trans HOUSING adapter.
A rather long 5" diameter spacer bolted to Packard flex plate thru end of crank shaft and then a GM flex plate bolted to spacer. RUnning TWO flex plates, OEM Packard for starter ring and GM flex for bolting GM TQ.

Slick set up. PRobably similar to T'Flite 727 method.

BTW, note the ENGINE oil line at top of block. THis engine most likely has the FULL FLOW FILTER Olds oil pump conversion.
