In Search of ........

I recently acquired a 1955 Packard owner's manual which had what I believe to be the original owner's information in the form of an ID card and the owner's service policy. There were also a couple of Michigan registration slips from 1966 and 1968.

I've been in touch with Stuart Blond, the PAC's rosterkeeper for 55-56 Packards and he indicated that the club had no such record of 5587-2408. I find it interesting that all the documents have also inserted a "VM" into the string of numbers for the VIN. I believe the VM to be the color of the car when it was delivered to Gaines family in Louisville on June 17, 1955.

I'm only putting this out on the WWW to determine if anyone is aware of the current whereabouts of this car. If I owned such a car I think I would love to have the original documents. (I am presently still working on a historical search for my 400)
