The easiest way I would think would be to first start with the 55/56 Parts Book and find the lowest numerical part listed.

Usually I can tell by the first two numbers when a part number was issued as they are kinda sequential.

But given all the changes with powertrain and electrical in 55, perhaps the 54 parts book would be the best one to try that experiment with.
