I'm not sure what model Caddy it was, but I'm attaching a photo. This was an art project car by an artist whose method of expression is designing and wrapping classic autos. It is removable.
It was a huge compressor. The owner said it really drained horsepower when it came on.
Note the rear air intakes on top of the quarter panels, at the rear corners of the backlight.
