Re: 8 volt batteries?

OK, I helped him and I kid you not the 8 volt battery was hooked up backwards and it still worked three days ago, I saw it start and run like that. It does seem to start and run better now with the 6 volt hooked up correctly.

Also, there is a some kind of metal line that goes down from below where the exhaust manifold is. It seems to be some kind of fuel line overflow? We've noticed fuel dripping out of it sometimes and when the engine was cut off today fuel came out in a small stream and then dripped for about 10 seconds. I've never seen anything like it but then again I'm no Packard expert.
