Many thanks to Howard and JW, excellent info as always.

I had thought to leave the front seat heater disconnected. However, Thanksgiving last, having had no snow and the acommpanying gravel and sand on the road, we took the car to see the fireworks in downtown Palmer and I got a request for some more heat from the back seat folks. Twas around 10 degrees though, about bit below average for us...

I'll put the heater on the bucket list for now,
