My 54 Cavalier has about 91K and I know that is accurate because the car came with all the service receipts from the day it was bought new to now.

As I have pictures of the restoration, I know they had the motor apart with the pistons out, but I don't know exactly what machine work was done (rings guides etc). I believe crank bearings were all replaced and hopefully the crank seals.

My oil leaks are kittle drip spots that come from somewhere other than where the drip get to the front frame member, and I don't believe they account for much oil consumption.

The steering box likes to drip as well.

The former owner ran synthetic oil (and didn't believe in changing it), I run SAE-30 but I was thinking of changing to 10-40.
