BTW. My guess is that the only reason anyone asks about e-ignition is because they've tried EVERYTHING and still have problems.

The problem is either worn distributor bushings or a bad wire internal of the distributor. A wire that connects points to side of distributor. Yes, E-ignition will fix those problems. But the worn bushings will later cause a MUCH BIGGER problem!!
