engine analyzers...

I would appreciate some expert advice on engine analyzers on 6v positive cars. There are many on the internet listed for 12v but not 6v.
The National Service Manual stipulates the idle for the 1937 Super Eight should be set to 350rpm or 7mph.
For years I have just been setting it by sound, the way my Father taught me. Am curious to 'go by the book'. The Shop Manual just says 1/2 turn out from closed.

Also, if someone can recommend a good make and model, it would be appreciated.

Thanks for looking....
