That probably took place in the very early part of the 1900s in Trinity Cemetery at 5210 Mt. Elliott. The cemetery is south of East Grand Boulevard and immediately west of the plant. Please see the photo attached.

Remember that the Packard plant was built out in the countryside in 1903. In 1930 my mother went to the recently opened Southeastern High School - about 2 miles due east (away from downtown) of the Packard plant. She told me that from the second floor she could see cows grazing in yards nearby. The nickname of the school team was (and still is) The Jungleers as the school was built in the sticks when Detroit was still growing outward.
