This is from my'40 160, but I doubt the technique changed much.
Just cut a curve int he middle and bring the upper piece over the lower.
I didn't do mine, but the carpet (pattern and material) came from SMS Auto Fabrics here in Oregon.http://www.smsautofabrics.com
