Hi
While indeed GM did introduce their all-steel "Turret Top" for 1935, much of the body was still wood structure. These interior photos are of a rough '36 Cadillac Series 60 sedan, which shared its Fisher body with other GM makes shows how much wood was still in volume production models.
GM switched over to all-steel body construction for all but the lowest volume bodies in 1937. They continued to used wood for interior tack strips, non-structural framing and body mounting sills up to the WWII.
