That's a handsome barouche and typifies the sort of quiet elegance that kept Packard synonymous with fine car until WW II. Your Super Eight is the last year to be fully a senior model, 1939-on junior-based, if still excellent cars.
Joseph Stalin's favorite toy was supposedly a '38 Super Eight convertible sedan given him by FDR.
Part of a comprehensive tune up when your car was new and late model included checking manifold and iron cylinder head torque when engine warm. If not checked in a long while, you may want to do so. Otherwise, just drive and enjoy it. There are many savvy souls here well versed in your particular model.
A friend toured the expanse of Spain 25 years ago in a well-fettled '37 Twelve in summer, so imagine yours has seen some beautiful country.
Thank you for sharing this timeless automobile. A happy 11th day of Christmas and New Year.
