A LITTLE PACKARD (AND ROUTE 66) HISTORY FROM 2017

Thought some of you might enjoy seeing these pics I took of one of my favorite cross-country interstate rest stops.

This one is in Texas off of I-40 along part of what used to be close to the old Route 66. The first image is what it looks like when you pull in. Oddly, you find a green oasis in the middle of Texas prairie land with an art deco/art moderne building rising out of it...! You'll find out how this relates to Packard in a moment.

The second image is a clever walkway leading across the property...
