Holiday Greetings from Santa Fe

I would like to share this non-Packard holiday greetings with all here on the site. It is a photo of our new (to us) house with the farolitos lit and glowing on the wall surrounding our front yard.

Farolitos are a traditional holiday decoration here. Originally, they were brown paper bags, folded over at the top, partially filled with sand, and lit with a votive candle. Traditionally, they were only lit on Christmas eve, but now-a-days plastic and electric ones are used throughout the holiday season. Many buildings and houses incorporate them in their decorating and it is an impressive site of the soft glowing lights. Wishing all here health and happiness for the season and 2019.

Since this is the season of sharing, I am moving down to the donate button and making a donation.
