Competent machine shop sought

Wat has Packard engines and the like, and after talking it over with Fred, we will be in need of a decent machine shop that ain't stuck on Shivverlay LS engines or the like. You know, willing to work the flathead anvils we know and love. Our areas these days are central Virginia or the greater Bowling Green KY area. Theoretically, that should increase my odds. If someone good may seem a bit out of range, tell me about them anyway and let me be the judge.

I'm willing to haul stuff and hour or two (or maybe 3) for reliable service. I'd prefer to hear of your personal experience, but if you know a guy in your area and you trust him, his experience will be good enough.

Services needed: valve work, boring, crank straightening and/or align boring, tanking, magnafluxing and sonic testing of cylinder walls. I think that hits the high points.

Of course, as always, I figure that anyone worth a pinch of puppy poop will be booked solid, but if so, I still need to get my arse queued. Hell, my motorcycle mechanic has me scheduled for work come . . . September. I know.
