Repainting an early 1948

I can't find any paint code on my maroon 48 convertible. I'm afraid if a try to fix certain paint problems the paint may not match because of the metalic. I went thru this in a green Packard where the whole car had to be painted. I have a feeling my car is the first of the available options. It was built in the summer of 1947 and probably got to be Cavalier Maroon. Where can I buy this? Do I need a paint code other than E ??
