I'm 68, retired now for 11 years as a research chemist. Here by memory are the Packards I've owned and prices paid and when bought where I could remember. The 1954 Patrician was driven the most miles (over 100,000), and the 1934 Eight and 56 Caribbean remain with me as show and frequent tour cars. All but the two Custom 8 sedans were 1-owner cars when I purchased them. EDTI - add: None were restored though the 1934 is still in superb original condition and the 56 Caribbean has seen alot of refurbishment. The first one was just a chance purchase, I was looking for a cheap car and didn't even know what a Packard was. A thrill after learning that S-P was still in business was communicating with them and having them send me new original copies of owners manuals and other documents.

1941 120 sedan, 1957, $25
1941 180 sedan w/AC, 1959, $35
1950 Custom 8 sedan, 1961, $85
1934 Eight sedan, 1964, $900
1954 Patrician, 1965, $65 (low mileage beauty)
1948 Custom 8 sedan, 1974?, $750
1956 Caribbean convert, 1997, $12,000

EDIT - I thought this was just about Packards but I see others have added their everyday cars and other collectibles. My other older cars as a youngster were:

1937 Dodge sedan, ex-Naval Air Service Taxi. First car.
1954 Hudson Hornet Special (2 dr), successful drag racer.

Everyday cars, all bought new and all traded for the next in line:

1962 Rambler American convertible
1964 Valiant Signet convert, 225 six with factory HyperPack.
1967 Dodge Monaco 2dr HT, 383 4 bbl.
1972 Buick Centurion 455 2 dr HT
1976 Chrysler Cordoba (w/o corinthian leather!)
1981 Chryser full-size New Yorker
1986 Chrysler New Yorker, 2.2 liter Turbo
1989 Jeep Cherokee Laredo (terrific vehicle)
1998 Chryler Concorde, 3.2 liter
2008 Lincoln MKZ
