Yeah, that is SAD, and a nice photo, I forget where that came from. Seems I have 100s of these, all slides unfortunately; I'll have to buy one of those little scanner/converters. Here's another, from a 1979 Ektachrome, of my early (painted headlight doors) 22nd series Custom 8 out shopping for parts from it's 23rd series sibling. The 23rd series car was complete and running, back then it was for parts, or $25. I took door and trunk latches, side window glass, etc., all for something like $5. Looks like I could have used a fender skirt too. The Custom 8 is still around, boasting a terrific repaint, and it's pictured on this site, GTO is the current owner. Location was just off Rte 46 in Palisades Park, New Jersey. PS - I just noticed, whitewall in the back, blackwall in the front. Whitewall was probably bought as a used tire, I was poorer than the proverbial churchmouse back then.

PS - GUSHA said in regard to the 1934 1101,In addition to it the chrome rings repeat the contour of the radiator grill allusively. Yes, and the same yoke motif is also repeated on the parking light and tail light bezels, the bumper guards, the radio knockout panel, the trunk rack, and several other little places.
