OR... If you're a cheap ba$tard like me, you find a modern A/C condenser from a smaller car and convert it to use as a trans cooler. Either way will work, and an A/C condenser will be plenty large for the job, and super efficient to boot. And yes, you bypass the original cooler, either by removing it completely, or leaving it in place and just not hooking up the trans lines to it. If you plan on driving your car over leaving it in the garage 90% of the time, I HIGHLY recommend doing this, it will extend the life of your trans considerably.
