That is not the house at the proving grounds, but it could be in Detroit, the city is lousy with neighborhoods that have 1920s and early 30s European rip-off houses. It looks like Palmer Woods or Rosedale Park. Just about every major American city had neighborhoods built then that copied the same sources.
