It will be interesting to see if any of this site's regulars have that kind of knowledge or info on the very early Packards. It's not often we get queries here on anything that wonderful! Love to see a picture!

Almost certainly the best person to contact for information like this would be Terry Martin at the Packard Museum in Warren. He has a very long and very involved history in the earliest of Packards, "wrote the book" on them (*), drove one cross-country, and is almost certainly the recognized expert.

Another possibility would be John Hovey in New Jersey who was recently having new wheels made (or was it old ones respoked?) for his 1901 Model C.

Another would be Howard Schaevitz, also in NJ though I believe his oldest is a 1902 Model F.
