Re: Henney name plate

Mike, I find this an interesting topic. I've certainly looked at dozens and dozens of restored Henney funeral vehicles and can't say I ever saw a Henney plate - but I wasn't looking for one either. What I was usually interested in was the Packard patent (vehicle number) plate which typically showed the sale by Packard was a chassis and numbered accordingly.

But almost certainly Henney affixed a plate somewhere. Did you try Pulfer & Williams to see if they have a Henney plate? P&W (now LaVine Restorations) made many of the original plates for various manufacturers and has a large selection of repro plates.pulferandwilliams.com/ Also, is there not a recently-published book available on the history of Henney? I thought so.

Please, update us as to your findings.

PS - another, perhaps better, possible source of information would the Professional Car Society - dedicated to funeral vehicles, limos, etc. They do have a website, perhaps a forum. I'll browse for it and post the link if I find it.professionalcar.org/ And yes, they do have a forum. Registration required to browse it. One of their past Presidents lives nearby, I don't see him often but if you had some questions I'd be glad to relay them to him. PM me if interested.
