Respect.

Guys, everyone one in awhile i have to make a little course correction with I think the tone or direction of the forums is sliding off the road into a ditch.

The website is here for Packard owners that are interested in driving their cars, and helping other folks get there cars back on the road. The hope is that it is a free exchange of positive help and information that is done in a constructive and respectful way.

When folks use the forums are their own space to settle grudges, or try to one-up-another, or simply get into pissing contests with one another for sport, it's not any fun, and just discourages people from posting questions, and more important people from posting the answers.

At the end of the day, we are all hobbyists that enjoy all different aspects of the hobby and their is a place here for everyone that enjoys Packards and can mutually respects other folks Packard interest no matter what form that takes (purist, modifiers, etc). Also remember not all of us have the means to do full restorations, or buy cars fully complete.

Wether it be a guy buying a rusted out '51 200 that patches it back together with blood sweat and tears and drives it proudly, or a guy with trailer queen V12 that has never turned a wrench, Packard love comes in many forms.....so lets not knock the other guy for what he drives, or what he plans to do with his car.

I've tried to let the forums moderate themselves, but every once in awhile I have to put the proctor hat on and play Mr. Meanie. So lets all try to show mutual respect to one another, or I will start handing out detention slips.
