Yes , questioning leads to discovery and growth. The right Brothers, Henry Ford, Gottlieb Daimler and other surely questioned things and came up with answers that changed not only automobiles but the world.

However there are certain things that are so long tried and tested and in universal practice that there comes a time that questioning is not productive. I know that ceramic bearings have been tested as an improvement, and that's a good try at progress.

In the case of the trans bearings, with so many in the field and so little catastrophic failure (never heard of any but they may happen) and the only problem is eventual wear which happens to all moving machine parts I would think that the world is done with that item. Just my soft opinion
