Don't know if this is any help but......the tank on my 50 Plymouth is very similar to our post war tanks, or at least similar to my 51 Patrician. This may be an alternative to our searches. It is a left hand side fill like my 51 but goes through a hole and grommet in the left fender. It's worth checking out. I have seen many repop tanks for the 50 Plymouth on ebay.
