Re: If you are under sixty, how did you get interested in Packards?

My lifestyle doesn't allow for such because I am always moving. Right now I am in Pentagon City, but was close to moving to Canada as well as Russia. I realized the other day that I have lived in more different places than Howard Hughes. However, I can't afford the Beverly Hills Hotel and certainly couldn't buy the Desert Inn. Although when I was in Kansas City there was a casino for sale to whomever was willing to take on the debt burden.

Anyway, I suppose when my life of adventure turns to retirement I will have lots of time for Packards. The biggest problem I have is the ugly politics of the old car hobby. I have run into one too many rotten apples and probably wouldn't tell anybody that I had actually bought something.

I knew a lot of old timers and even they couldn't get along with each other. In fact, I knew so many rich people who couldn't stand each other that I lost interest in becoming wealthy.

Here at the forum things are a lot more pleasant.
