12 cyl alum heads other parts

I have located 3 used aluminum heads and other misc parts for 12 cyl engines. Will the major parts such as block, cranks, cams, valve silencers, valves, pistons, connecting rods, intake and exhaust interchange on all 12's.
The heads are erroded around the water passages and need repair work. Can they be repaired by a quality craftsman/welder. What should I look for to determine if they are reworkable.
Is there a stock height from gasket surface to cylinder dome or some ref point to check and see if they have been machined.
Any thoughts or suggestions will be appreciated.
