Perhaps I should explain my 1/27th scale. My track gauge is 2 1/8 inches. Real railroad is 4' 8 1/2 inches.
4' 8 1/2" divided by 2 1/8' is 113/2 X 8/17.
904/34 = 26.58 rounded up to 27.
