Re: A relaxing Day Driving a Packard in Southeastern Arizona

Taking advantage of an unseasonably cool day in southern Arizona, I took the 400 out for a drive. Destination: Patagonia Arizona (R/T 140 miles) and the Paton Hummingbird Center.

I have been going to the Paton home in Patagonia for many years now. In the birding world, it is a 'must-do' on any serious bird watcher's itinerary. I was greeted by my favorite hummingbird once again. The Violet-crowned never disappoints. Note that violet crowned hummingbirds dress alike. What? Yes, violet crowned hummers, male and female, are colored similarly unlike other hummingbirds. This area of Arizona is known famously for high hummingbird diversity. I personally cannot imagine living anywhere hummingbirds are not found.

Oh, and the Packard? She once again drove wonderfully (I kept her at 65 MPH most of the way) and turned heads everywhere. Prior to returning to Tucson, I stopped for an adult beverage at the Wagon Wheel. Or maybe I had two.....not important. To prove the 400 was the center of attraction, just take a look at the Northern Cardinal's expression when I pulled in. Priceless!
