Well, I did pursue one of my non Packard beauties: a step down Hudson, 1950 to be exact. I wasn't seeking it, but it showed up on a used car lot nearby: cosmetically decent, 49k miles, good interior, but needing lots of mechanical work. After about 100hrs of work, it is a great car.

And, Since I love the independents, I'd really like a Willys Wagon. Love the simple utility and beauty.
