REI has a wonderful selection of Packs. For smaller day packs both the wife and I prefer Osprey. For longer treks I prefer North Face.

Seriously, if you want to find out a lot about Packards, then you should consider joining the PAC region, Silver State Packards based in Reno, NV. Their website is here:http://webpages.charter.net/scpackard/ I am sure Jay Hubbard and the rest of the folks can help you out.
