John, there's more to come! After two flights, I arrived at the hotel in an East European industrial city, which is easy to classify as bleak windy spot. How good to have a window into another world.
While the base of hopes to find a familar face at old photographs might not be very strong but it is still an alluring prospect.
Be prepared, that some of the pics are mirror-inverted. Number 32 has to be flipped for sure. I will do it later, my glasses are broken (varifocals, a costly affair) and I sit in front of a small laptop with replacement glasses from a DIY market.
