Ok, back to this wonderful weekend when 2,000 sun-drenched Packards, shining like gold, were waiting for their first adventure. Why does each spring, alas, have only one May? Pleasant anticipation was in the air and painted a smile on every face. Cheerful looking dealers from all parts of the country swarmed out like bees to find their golden girl.

Just Once For All Time (Lilian Harvey, 1931)
Laughing, singing, joy bells ringing
Life is today just a dream.
Music yearning, sorrows turning,
Bright eyes with happiness gleam.
Those fairytales are for a few.
This one I know is true.

Just once for all time
Does good luck greet you
And lead you on to Paradise.
Just once for all time
Does fortune treat you
To happiness beyond the clouds.

The flowers are your flowers,
The hours are your hours
The whole wide world belongs to you
There's just one Maytime
Make that your playtime
And start to live your life anew
With heart that's beating and lips repeating
Such happiness is too good to be true.
