Hi

You said it, Owen, it was a terrific series. Packards figured prominently in the FDR years. The best footage was of the 1944 NYC campaign parade, the '39 Twelve phaeton looked so regal and magnificent leading in the rain.

If you want to read an equally terrific book on those years, read No Ordinary Time by Doris Kearns Goodwin.

Yes, there was a glimpse of Stalin's armored Twelve Limousine in the Yalta footage. It was all blacked-out, looking as sinister as Uncle Joe himself.
