Thanks for posting this article. Interesting in the list of 1946 Packards to be introduced are a pair of Super Clipper seven passenger and limousine models. At some point after this was published, management obviously decided a cut-rate offering in that segment wasn't necessary.

Note also the purchase of Air-Cooled Motors in Syracuse, N.Y. by Republic Aviation. Air-Cooled Motors was developed from portions of the Franklin Automobile Company to manufacture air-cooled aircraft engines. As is well known, one of their helicopter engine models became the basis for the Tucker engine.
